IDENTITY IN CHRIST

Ever wonder how God's grace works?

Maybe you're curious to know if you are secure in your salvation.

We have good news for you -
“Because you have been born again - not of perishable seed but of imperishable - through the living and enduring word of God.”
1 PETER 1:23
When we place our faith in Jesus, we have been born again. And His spirit now dwells on the inside of you. It is something that cannot die, but lives forever.

Salvation cannot be earned.

This happens simply - by grace through faith.

For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift. Ephesians 2:8-9
We cannot do anything to earn God's love from him. We simply must accept the gift that he has already given to us. Our good works do not save us or keep us. Only the faith in Jesus and what He has done for you and me can keep our salvation.

Who you are now in Christ

You are completely saved.

“Therefore, he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, since he always lives to intercede for them.” HEBREWS 7:25
You cannot be any more saved one day to the next. Once you place your faith in Jesus, you are completely saved.

You are completely forgiven.

“And when you were dead in trespasses and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, he made you alive with him and forgave us all our trespasses.” COLOSSIANS 2:13
ALL of our sins have been forgiven. The ones you have already committed and the ones you're going to commit. When Jesus chose to die on the cross and take on all the sin of the world, it was for our sins.

You are completely victorious.

“He erased the certificate of debt, with its obligations, that was against us and opposed to us, and has taken it away by nailing it to the cross. He disarmed the rulers and authorities and disgraced them publicly; he triumphed over them in him.” COLOSSIANS 2:14-15
When Jesus died for us, he took on our debt which was death and completely eradicated it. It is now gone. We no longer have to live with shame and guilt, but in the freedom that God has set us free and we are free indeed!
